The 2016-17 school year will be my first as principal of Canadian High School and I am very excited to be a Wildcat!  This is my 24th year in education and my 18th in educational leadership.
My wife of 17 years, Lawana, is also an educator and is currently serving the district as the Director of Instructional Technology.  She is a former elementary school teacher, curriculum specialist, and principal, making her a great sounding board when we talk shop at home.  We have two kids, Clara (11), who will be a 6th grader at the middle school, and Stephen (14), who will enter CHS as a freshman this year.  I am excited that my children will get to experience the academic and extracurricular programs in Canadian ISD.

I believe our children should be armed with an education that allows them to function at high levels wherever they reside and in whichever fields they choose.  I believe our ability to influence student success before and after graduation is magnified when schools partner with parents and the community.  Judging by the recent success of our programs and teams and by the performance of our graduates in college and career, it is clear that our schools, parents, and the community are committed to working together to give our kids a strong foundation for life.  I look forward to helping in that process and I will do my best to make sure we carry on the rich tradition of Canadian High School.
